My Body, My Health: How Understanding the Female Body Promotes Health

The female cycle is an indicator of overall health. Women’s awareness of their unique bodies has implications for overcoming infertility, avoiding or planning pregnancy, strengthening relationships, and healthier living.

Dr. Marguerite Duane, MD, MHA, FAAFP, will present a factual talk on the female cycle, signs of fertility, benefits for couples facing infertility, alternatives to traditional family planning methods, and empowerment of women to understand how their cycles are an important indicator of health. Dr. Duane is a board-certified physician and Adjunct Associate Professor at Georgetown University, and the co-founder of FACTS (Fertility Appreciation Collaboration to Teach the Science).

Women of all ages are invited to this free educational event (students, student wives, faculty wives, and female faculty). Light refreshments will be served.

Co-Hosts:
The Center for Bioethics & Human Dignity
The Division of Science, Technology and Health
The Trinity Society of Women
Her Dignity Network
