Professor of Systematic Theology & Director
|Following pastoral ministry in Alaska and Michigan, Tom McCall came to Trinity in 2004. He received the MA in Theology at Wesley Biblical Seminary and the PhD in Systematic Theology at Calvin Theological Seminary. His areas of research interest and expertise include the doctrine of the Trinity, Christology (incarnation and atonement), hamartiology, and soteriology. He is concerned to integrate biblical and historical theology with philosophical and cultural analysis, and he is convinced that the resources of classical theology have much to offer pastoral care as well as emerging global theology. Tom is author and co-editor of several books, including Forsaken: The Trinity and the Cross, and Why It Matters (InterVarsity Academic, 2012). Visit his faculty page for his full CV. Tom and his wife Jenny live in Kenosha, WI with their four children. Together they enjoy sports and outdoor activities.
|Prior to walking with the Lord and thus his love for theology, Geoffrey studied Communications at University of Illinois (UIUC). Feeling a burden for Christ’s bride, the Church, Geoffrey has spent the last nearly 10 years of his life pursuing theological education, completing a Masters of Divinity at TEDS, and now working to complete his PhD in Systematic Theology, under Dr. Kevin Vanhoozer. His interests lie in the intersection of spatial theory, ecclesiology, doctrine of creation, and cultural engagement. Having communication experience both with Beta Theta Pi General Fraternity and the Great Lakes District of the Free Church, Geoffrey now has the opportunity to combine his love of theology with his knowledge in communications.
Geoffrey and his wife, Katherine, live in Deerfield, IL, with their two daughters, Sophia and Anastasia.
Project & Communications Manager
|After completing his degree in Finance from the University of Illinois (UIUC) in 2005, Mark began his business career in New York City, working for several years in investment banking and private equity while serving bi-vocationally on staff at a church plant in Manhattan. Increasingly feeling a call to vocational ministry and looking for deeper theological training, Mark enrolled at TEDS in 2012 to pursue a Masters of Divinity and currently serves on staff at Harvest Community Church, where he loves to see theology applied on the ground in pastoral ministry. Mark and his wife, Holly, live in Glenview, IL with their two sons, Joshua and Justin.
