David Lyle Jeffrey (PhD Princeton University) is Distinguished Professor of Literature and the Humanities at Baylor University. His books include A Dictionary of Biblical Tradition in English Literature (Eerdmans, 1992), People of the Book: Christian Identity and Literary Culture (Eerdmans, 1996), Houses of the Interpreter: Reading Scripture, Reading Culture (Baylor University Press, 2003), and In the Beauty of Holiness: Art and the Bible in Western Culture (Eerdmans, 2017).
