Esther Atsen is a PhD Candidate in Educational Studies at TEDS. She holds a BA in Christian Education from Jos ECWA Theological Seminary and taught at a Bible School owned by her denomination, the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), Nigeria. Esther’s research focuses on narrative epistemology vis-à-vis narrative theology. She seeks to explore how narrative, both as a cognitive function that enables humans to construct reality and as the means by which they share this reality with others through culturally shared meaning, can contribute to a robust philosophy and practice of education.
