John David is a PhD student in Historical Theology at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. His dissertation topic is “The Bible and Theologizing in Africa: Engaging the Biblical Text and the African Contexts, 1960–2010,” working under the mentorship of Dr. Scott Manetsch. Before coming to the US for further studies, John David served as a pastor in Nigeria. He enjoys preaching, teaching, learning, watching a good action movie, and playing soccer. John David loves Jesus, his family, and the church.
