John M. Monson (PhD Harvard University) is Associate Professor of Old Testament and Semitic Languages at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. His archaeological fieldwork has taken him to Syria, Lebanon, and numerous excavations in Israel.  He co-edited Dothan I: Remains from the Tell (1953-1964) (Eisenbrauns, 2005).
