Paul Louis Metzger (PhD King’s College) is a Professor of Theology and Theology of Culture at Multnomah University and the Director of the Institute for Cultural Engagement: New Wine, New Wineskins. His major works include The Word of Christ and the World of Culture: Sacred and Secular through the Theology of Karl Barth (Wipf and Stock, 2005), Evangelical Zen: A Christian’s Spiritual Travels with a Buddhist Friend (Patheos Press, 2015), and Beatitudes, Not Platitudes: Jesus’ Invitation to the Good Life (Wipf and Stock, 2018).
