Biography
Rev. K. Edward Copeland currently serves as pastor of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Rockford, Illinois. He graduated from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana in 1984 with a Bachelors of Arts degree majoring in English/Rhetoric. Since then he has earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of California, Berkeley and a Masters of Divinity degree from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in Mill Valley, California. He is currently working on his Doctorate of Ministry at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He has been a lecturer for the National Baptist Convention of America, USA Inc., National Baptist Convention of America, Inc., Church of God in Christ, Inc. (Illinois Fifth Jurisdiction West), as well as district associations, conventions, and conferences throughout the nation and across denominational lines.
