Reorienting our Mission to the Kingdom of Christ
A Sermon on Matthew 11
In a time when we hear and read so many headlines about tragedies in the name of religion we might be tempted to wonder where we are in the mission of God and how we are to address these global problems. Michael Horton provides a “you are here” map for reorienting our place in the history of redemption and avoiding the “mission-creep” that could distract us from the proclamation of the gospel of the kingdom. Treating the confusion of disciples of John the Baptist concerning Christ, Horton traces the unexpected unfolding of Christ’s kingdom and emphasizes the delivering power of gospel of Christ.
