Woodbridge Conference – John Woodbridge
John Woodbridge, in these concluding comments, thanks the presenters for their hard work and excellent papers. He then thanks everyone in attendance for coming, noting what a beautiful thing it is to be part of the body of Christ. Dr. Woodbridge expresses his gratitude that Christ was lifted up through this conference before concluding in prayer.
John Woodbridge is Research Professor of Church History and the History of Christian Thought at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Dr. Woodbridge has also taught history at the University of Toulouse, Northwestern University, and Hautes Etudes, Sorbonne. Fluent in French, his areas of expertise include evangelicalism, fundamentalism, the history of the Bible’s authority, the French enlightenment and religion, the French Huguenots, and the origins of higher criticism. Dr. Woodbridge has published and edited numerous works (for a more extensive list, visit his faculty page) including The History of Biblical Authority (Zondervan, 1982) and The Evangelicals (Abingdon, 1975). He has, among other awards and honors, received four Gold Medallion Awards for his works related to Christian history and biography. Dr. Woodbridge has also served as a senior editor for Christianity Today.
