Charlie Dates (PhD, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School) is Senior Pastor of Progressive Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois. He has written articles for Preaching Today and has contributed to the books Letters to a Birmingham Jail: A Response to the Words and Dreams of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr (Moody Publishers, 2014) and Say It!: Celebrating Expository Preaching in the African American Tradition (Moody Publishers, 2020).
