Charlie Dates (PhD Trinity Evangelical Divinity School) is Senior Pastor of Progressive Baptist Church. He has written articles for Preaching Today and has contributed to the books Letters to a Birmingham Jail: A Response to the Words and Dreams of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr (Moody, 2014) and Say It!: Celebrating Expository Preaching in the African American Tradition (Moody, 2020).
