David grew up in the UK and has lived in Australia, England, South Africa, Asia and the United States. He comes to MST with pastoral and church planting experience in Chinese and multi ethnic churches, establishing pastoral and ministry training networks overseas and worked with mission organisations in shaping training for our increasingly globalised and diverse world. David earned a PhD from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Intercultural Studies. He now teaches in both the English and Chinese departments at MST. David’s teaching and research interests include: Global migration and diaspora, theology of religions, missional hermeneutics, global theologies and world Christianity, contextual exegesis and urban mission. David is married to Jennifer and together have two wonderful kids.
